Interim Manager and Social Entrepreneur
‘Disarmingly frank’ is the comment about Stuart that resonates most with those who know him. As an Interim Manager and Project / Programme Manager for clients in the UK public, private and third sectors, Stuart adopts a direct approach blended with a very British humour that enables him to get the job done, while relying on self-awareness to avoid the pitfalls that directness can sometimes bring.
In a career spanning three decades, Stuart has started, grown and sold a successful multi-million pound business in the IT service sector, helped dozens of budding entrepreneurs to realise their goals of starting their own enterprises and, more recently, worked with community organisations in the UK on a range of projects including starting a social enterprise with a focus on community engagement.
To add to a plethora of life and business experiences, Stuart’s qualifications include an MBA from the Open University, certification as a Social Enterprise Advisor, Executive Coach and Facilitator, along with experience of techniques such as Prince2, Lean Six Sigma and Systems Thinking.
Stuart is based in Buckinghamshire, where he lives with his wife Amanda and their two teenage children. When he isn’t working he’s trying to keep fit, doing DIY, watching sport or continuing his studies towards a degree in Philosophy and Psychology. He’s also a member of the Advisory Board for Common Purpose, a leadership development organisation.
